We are having to bring them in and force them to ripen this flaming June, but bang on target for Wimbledon week, nothing wrong with the global climate in my opinion.

They are having to be picked green to avoid rot with this present weather, they ripen off indoors OK and they have better taste than from the supermarket, honest.

I picked some gooseberries the other day for my Sister before they rotted.
She's over from Oz and has a great craving for them - especially Gooseberry Fool!
My figs are not looking too good - several have blackened and fallen off

I'm just waiting for my favorite fig tree, along side the Canal du Midi near us, to ripen. They are huge and juicy and delicious!! The best I've ever had 8) 8) 8)

Our straberries have finished now, even the wild ones. Tiny little bundles of taste!
