I've made my wife a box for Christmas and I think she will like it. It is made from a maple and walnut sandwich and the inlay is 6mm BB ply and a little bit of mahogany for the leaf brat at the bottom of the flowers. The inside of the box was flocked and I have finished the rose off with a little pyrography. Thanks for looking.

Super job is that Samfire; Ms Cordy just glanced at my screen and said "Ooh that's pretty !"

Thanks for the kind comments. The inside of the box is navy blue flocking, I would have liked to have used red but onlyhave one colour.

Very lovely. Your artistry has inspired me to buy a wee oyrography tool, haven't had a chance to use it yet, but am pretty sure it will end up not used much as my artistic talents are nil ;)
The heart centre is inspired, your wife will love it

Very nice work Sam.
Should top up your brownie points until at least the end of January  .

Take care.

That's beautiful Sam - I think that she'll love it.
I do like seeing useful things made from our daft hobby rather than just intricate shapes and flat designs.
Right up my street this one - well done!
:)
