7'8" between centres!!!

:shock: Wadkin RS with 7'8" between centres for sale on the Dark Side.
I know this is not the done thing but these appear so rarely - and there's hardly likely to be a bidding war!

Unfortunately my workshop isn't big enough. I could get it in but have to remove everything else. Plus it will probably be 3phase which I don;'t have and the inverters for these things are not cheap. Nor the chucks and it only has a 3 jaw one. Lovely lathe though.

I've often wondered why folk on this forum use anything but the correct name for eBay.

I would guess that the vast majority of us use eBay from time to time so why the reticence in using its proper name?

Is there some rule I've missed?

No, I don't think so, it's just not "etiquette".
Some people don't like attention drawn to lots that they are watching. It makes little difference as far as I can see.

Ive got one of these, really nice. I use a patriot chuck with an adapter. The smallest thing ive done on it was a ring out of lead wood for my wife. There alot cheaper than a VB and are very capable. The lathe i would really like is the wadkin RUH. But i think its a step too far
