I had some cracking luck at today's carboot! I got a wooden jointer plane which has cleaned up a treat for £3, nice hammer for £2 and two saw's both 50p each!!! The small tenon is a disston and the large one a spear and Jackson.

How long would you chaps recommend I soak the plane blade in vinegar for to help remove the rust?
 
You've done really well there, especially with the saws - good makes and useful sizes. They both look perfectly rescuable too. This was my similar Disston after a few decades in a shed:

Nothing too fancy needed - just some fine wet'n'dry on a cork block, used with white spirit or WD40.
 
@AndyT: nice pics of your saw!

@ToolsanTat: I didn't catch the chaps name but all his stuff was VERY reasonable. Nice chap too, think he's new at Saddington, not seen him in previous years.
