It's never too early to get started!

I've purchased my cards for the next two years and couldn't resist tackling this one first. I've made two and constructed the following photo featuring the completed card in the center and a few of the pieces around the sides. The wood is 1/4" 5-ply poplar. It's my 17th year and it makes for quite a collection on our holiday mantle.

In cutting around the edges, I eliminated all of the blue and purple background. That's why it has an irregular shape - and why it will fit back in its regular envelope for mailing.

Just as in the past, I'll aim to cut ten each month and hope to have 100 finished by mid-November. This past year I had 94 done by 11/1 and then got sick and didn't touch the saw for six weeks, so it's good to get a head start. Besides. they're phun to cut.

Hope it gives you some ideas.....Happy New Year! Carter
