If you're interested, I made another plane - With new photo

Tony, I too can see where you are coming from. why not try an adjuster like Karls 11-SA .....this would suit a woodie a lot better than a Norris style I

If you're interested, I made another plane - With new photo

Hi Tony, nice trio.....plane making is a whole new addiction. actually they are quite diffcult and very time consuming to make and Ray's are actually underpriced for the amount of making in it. Ray also uses a LH thread for the end eyelet also if you look closer at the eyelet...

Preferred way to grind primary bevels?

Paul....it might be a possibility to use the scissor jig for power planer blades in the tormek for Primary Bevels i use a surface grinder with an angled vice....used to use a tormek but the SG is sooo much better.....i use an air/coolant mix to prevent overheating. secondry is waterstones. I

    Jointer completed!

Hi Derek, I know what you mean about the balance -size to weight ratio.....i played with KH's last 28 1/2" jointer and although it was a good bit heavier it didnt seem like it was as big as its size suggests....if felt like a smaller plane, beautifully balanced. i can imagine...

    Wedge angle?

BB, I actually like the design your link shows, looks quite comfy for using whilst marking the long panels, for me it would seem a better handgrip overall...due to the lengths that these guages usually mark. I have one with a similar grip and its quite thick which allows the wrist to rest...
