    Beading on MDF

Hi all!, I'm going to have a go at making a freestanding kitchen larder of sorts. It's going to be painted MDF. I quite like the beading used in the photo. What way is it jointed to get the 45 degree angle. It's puzzling me. The only way I can think is the end of a board is cut both at 90...

I'm looking to know what is the finish to our mdf formica topped kitchen table. Its very hard and I was thinking of something like this, rather than a veneer edge for mdf beds that i'm going to make for the chidren. Many thanks for the help. Sorry if you want to see the pic copy and paste...

Screws for baseplate for Triton router

I've nearly finished making a router table and since I've started I've been on the lookout for the right screws to attach the router to the baseplate and have had no success at all. The only screws I've found with the right thread are 8mm in diameter. I did a search on google and this forum but...

    Need a budget scrollsaw

I need to cut out a decorative pattern out of MDF to make a jig for routing a piece of oak to go onto the canopy over the stove in the kitchen. I'm on the lookout for a scrollsaw as I think it would be the tool for the job (any other ideas around this welcome but I like the idea of owning a...

    TRITON Collet jammed

I just got a Triton router and have managed to jam the collet. I put the 1/2 inch collet on and tightened it but as I didnt put a bit into the collet while doing so the collet is so tight that a bit wont go into it. I unscrewed the nut covering the collet and they both separated. I tried...

    Router for handheld use

I was thinking of getting a decent handheld router and I thought a good one would be the 1400w triton but I see the bigger one in B&Q for just under £200. I like the thought of buying instore as its easier getting it fixed if anything goes wrong. Is the bigger one a bit of a handful and would I...

    Trend router question

I'm just back from B&Q with a Trend T-Tech TT/R127 router, a 2050w 1/2 inch with variable speed and fine depth adjustment. I thought a Trend router for £100 was a bargain so I welcome any comments anyone has to give as I can't find anything on google :o :(

    B & Q sale

B & Q has had a sale for a while now with some of their power tools and the prices have gone down further today. I got a Ryobi EJS-500QEO Jigsaw which comes with 30 blades (21 for wood use) and an mp3 player (128mb) for £30, also a 500w bench drill for £30 too. Not bad I'd say :D

    Need a bandsaw fence

I am able to get a lend of an Electra Bekum 315g or another bandsaw made by Rexon (can't remember the model but was told it cost £212). I can choose which and can use it for as long as I want but the only problem is that both need fences. They where taken off as they were getting in the way of...
