Need a budget scrollsaw

I need to cut out a decorative pattern out of MDF to make a jig for routing a piece of oak to go onto the canopy over the stove in the kitchen.
I'm on the lookout for a scrollsaw as I think it would be the tool for the job (any other ideas around this welcome but I like the idea of owning a scrollsaw), but I dont want to spend too much. I was thinking of around £50 - £80.

What I don't understand is why someone with the forum user name of "Eric" signs his post as "Michael"... :?

Anyway, you might find this threadinformative. The SIP seems to be the pack leader from what I can make out. Bruce (Brucio) recently acquired one and in this thread he confirmed the opinions of others who use it.
