    small level bag

if you struggle to find one, have a look for rod pod cases, its for fishing but most are well padded and have pockets so you could carry both items. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fishing-Bag-3 ... 2074659863 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NASH-Tackle-r ... 51d4144960...

    Wooden Conservatory

id just fold up some sandpaper and use that to do the edges and use your thumb/finger placement on the sandpaper to stop it touching the glass. the best tool ive used for puttying, i got shown it by a old boy, is a 5" bit of copper pipe with the end flattened and slightly bent with a hammer lol...

    issue with chip extraction

i had kind of the same problem as Pete, there was a cross on the input to stop chunks of wood hitting the impeller but there was a finer grill on the output hole which clogged when using my planer. when i opened it up to check it, it had 2" of shavings jammed solid inside. since making a thien...

    Air nail gun

yea i think they do 50mm, that one is silverline, im not keen on that brand everything ive personally bought that was silverline was pretty much junk. with aldi stuff id expect to pay twice the price for the same quality elsewhere, but then its only 20 quid so possibly worth a go.

    Power or Hand

id say you need a handplane or two whichever way you go. im not sure how much you are looking to spend? but i picked up a woodstar pt85 secondhand planer/thicknesser for 150. so if you can stretch to that and another 20 you could pickup a second hand no4 bailey.

    Cutting tenon cheeks.

i just like the finer cut and finish, i think the extra length of the handle aids keeping the cut straight. il have to have a bit of a practice with the irwin, im not bothered by looks as long as i can use it.

    Axminster chisel offer

ive got a set of the axminster ones and they arent too bad, although they arent ground straight, they take a good edge and tend to keep it ok too. i have a set of ashley iles now but id still feel bad about doing anything rough with the axi ones lol even though i only paid £20 odd for 4
