You want a single hole counter sink they are best they have a hole drilled at an angle though them

for metal lathe the min recommended is 6 inch and at work we have a 12 inch thich floor with 8 cnc machines on it 2 Manuel lathes 6 Manuel mills and loads of grinders but 6 inch is recommended min

thing to charge for: Time Tool wear Consumables (eg sand paper finishes ) electricity I normal put £0.50 - £1.00 for most of them except time then i just make some thing up as it only a hobby that trys to pay for its self

keep what on there they put them on for a reason also when you take big cuts 5 MM in mild steel that will put strain on it so just leave it

if you do make sure you cut it down the pith as soon as you get it

they measured 20% which is fine i leave it in the shop a couple of day and then it fine

you see that odd i have some cherry it 3 inch thick and they are 6 inch round and they were cut 6 months ago and they are dry
