Can you please tell me what wood this is at first I thought it was Yew :mrgreen:

just tried to turn it and found it was very hard wood :eek: It has a hole up the centre from the bottom and having turned the top a bit found the hole goes right through :? was going to be a vase not shure what to do now #-o

Look like a good candidate for African Blackwood, the SG is 1.08 to 1.27, anything with a Specific Gravity greater than 1 will sink in water.
