    2mmx100mm drill bit?

Thanks Andrew! I've tried similar with wire from a whisk, but it's not man enough by hand. You put them in a powered drill? I've managed to source a bit 125mm long, from ebay so not sure about quality, but it cost £7. I found a couple of online suppliers, but they wanted 6 or 7 quid in postage...

    2mmx100mm drill bit?

Regrettably not! I've moved whatever the heck it is about 20mm toward the bowl with a rod after putting it in the freezer, but it's now stuck fast!

    2mmx100mm drill bit?

Anybody know where i can get such a beast? All the extra long ones i can find end at 85mm length. Anything 100mm+ would be great, but 2mm is the max diameter i can use. I know it'd be weak, but i have to drill a blockage in a vintage pipe, which is right near the end and the drill would be...

    Shaving brush parts?

I have a taxidermy badger in the bedroom - i wonder if swmbo would notice if it had a trim?! Anyway, thanks chaps for the help. Next task is to learn to shave with a straight razor!

A bit abstract -critique welome " Macabre"

I agree it takes some relooking, but i really like this piece. I also agree with George that maybe a more rounded or organic lower part might look nice. I think i'd also make the black stand parts more organic - maybe branch wood or antlers. Perhaps that's just my taste and style though...

    Shaving brush parts?

Does anybody know a uk supplier of knots to mount in a shaving brush handle please? I can find a couple in the states, but would prefer to not worry about getting stung by import fees for a couple of brushes!

    Wood ID

+1 for cocobolo, i've seen a lot like that. What did it smell like? I have to be careful with cocobolo, it make me feel like i've snorted pepper and i get a rash. I generally avoid it now or use gloves and full respirator.

    Advice regarding courses

For more advanced lessons i'd go to someone who offered specialisation in whatever i particularly wanted to learn, so maybe consider what out of the normal you're after. Near Sutton Coldfield i can +1 the recommendation for Richard Findley in Leicester, (especially for spindle work and using...

    Blow-torch recommendations please

I know Mark Hancock recommends using MAPP as it burns hotter, and thus chars the outside quicker without heating the inside of the timber and risking splits. Propane is next hottest, butane least. Temperature seems to relate to price too! I use a propane butane mix in a little can as it was a...
