    Conservatory moulding

Thanks for the input guys. I did see some log roll in a timber merchant the other day. I may try that. But I will also consider the mopstick. I may not need it if I can remove it carefully and re-use the quardant bits.

    Conservatory moulding

Any ideas on where I could get this decorative moulding? I have got to replace the frame and windows and I can see that when removing, chances are that it will not come off too well without it splitting.

    Has anyone seen this?

My friend is a painter and decorator (I have yet to see any brush strokes in his work it's that good). He suggested softwood because it took him ages to rub down the edge of the MDF to a smooth finish. The other alternative is to edgeband the cut edge of the MDF. I have had a quick look on...

    Wardrobe lighting

I wanted to add lighting to a set of wardrobes I am building. They need to switch on when opening the door. I am having great difficulty trying to source suitable switches. I have been told that if LV lighting is used then the primary side of the transformer should be switched. Is this correct...

    Door release

Thanks WoodStoat, I have gone for the screwfix version as they are cheap. I have yet to fit them so I will let you know the outcome. Now the customer wants lights to come on when opening the doors so I need a suitable push switch, and they are not easy to find. Ideas anyone? Barry

    Door release

I am looking for a mechanism that enables you to open a wardrobe door by pushing to make it open but I don't know what it is called to try and search for it on t'internet. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Barry

Thanks Terry, I will be putting it to good use over the next few days so it should hopefully shape up well by then.

    Perform CCNPT

I have only used the thicknesser to date but it seems to be OK although the rubber roller does need cleaning often as it leaves marks on the wood. Axminster are doing it for £349 at the moment.

For those who have never seen Norm

Does anybody remember Kenny Everett's Reg Prescott DIY expert? Now that was funny.

    Sanding sealer - advice

Terry, I purchased a drum brush through Axminster after reading your post and following the link. My problem is the state of the brush on delivery. Should it look like Florence's hair from Magic Roundabout or should it be nice and round like the picture on your web site? It seems as if the brush...
