I am looking for a mechanism that enables you to open a wardrobe door by pushing to make it open but I don't know what it is called to try and search for it on t'internet. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Good point WoodStoat

I had not thought of that

I have some of the mini one's on the Isaac lord site and I am happy with them :)

Thanks WoodStoat, I have gone for the screwfix version as they are cheap. I have yet to fit them so I will let you know the outcome.

Now the customer wants lights to come on when opening the doors so I need a suitable push switch, and they are not easy to find.

Ideas anyone?

surely you need a switch that is on when not under pressure.

so a single pole i think

paul

Switch poles refer to the number of circuits switched.
Switch 'throws' refer to the numer of contacts per pole.
What the op needs to specify is that the switch is 'normally closed' if it is a single throw or a double throw switch will have a NO contact as well as a NC contact and will fit the bill.
