Circular clamp

Hi everyone, I turn round bird boxes made up of 12 segments which I glue together and then turn into the round, these range between six to six and three quarter inches round I currently use large jubilee clips.
Does anyone know if there is a better way such as a round adjustable clamp available.
I would be grateful for any suggestions.

As you stick to the same sizes, maybe you could make some ply rings with, say, a 7" circular hole, and a set of small wedges, one for each segment. Free to make from offcuts and IMHO less fiddly to fit than a belt type clamp.

+1 for band clamps, I've got 3 that I use pretty regularly. They range from about £5-£15 depending on which brand you go for. Just do a Google Product Search to see what's on offer.

Thanks to Chems, Mike and Dan for all your help and advice I will have Google later and order a couple of the belt clamps.
I also think its a great idea to use a ply ring and wedges,thats my job tomorrow a lot cheaper and less fiddly than jubilee clips which I keep buying.

I often wondered if biscuits would be particularly useful in this situation to keep them aligned.

Not doing Axminster down, but you will almost certainly get ratchet straps from yer local Halfords or other motoring shop...

I use them for all sorts of clamping jobs and to use them on something round would be as easy as falling off a log..
