Xcalibur Planer Thicknesser

Hi Guys

I'm thinking of buying the Xcalibur 10" Planer Thicknesser (http://woodfordwm.co.uk/acatalog/Planer ... esser.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false and wondered if anyone has any experience of them in use?

I cant find anything on the usual forums, though the table saws from Xcalibur seem to be popular. Based on the pictures and specs it looks almost exactly the same as the Axminster AW106PT2 (except the Xcalibur uses a Ali fence) so I'm guessing they are made by the same Chinese company?

They have a review on their website (http://woodfordwm.co.uk/8081Xcaliburtest.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false which says its a good machine but I'm curious why there isn't any mention of them on the forums?

So if you have one or have seen one in action could you please let me know your thoughts.

I think they were reviewed in The Woodworker some time ago and came out pretty well if memory serves. The table saws are indeed excellent however I would check current pricing as the website has not been updated for a long time. I was interested in a power feed unit a while ago that ended up being nearly twice the advertised price.
