I read up on all the info provided on workshop lighting .... great stuff, thanks for all the advice

I then came across these fittings at a great price

Double 5ft high frequency fittings, waterproof etc £20.00 each

I picked up 4 fittings and 10 (needed a couple of spares) daylight tubes at £2.99

total £120 inc vat

wow what a difference, the wife says I'm going to need my sunglasses and some pina coladas, it's bright compared with the old tubes!

I thought it may be worth starting this thread so that members could add their "latest deals" on the end so that they are all in one place

Damn, I could do with some daylight tubes but it's a shame they won't delivery less than twenty-five at a time. :(

I'm sure others will find this useful, though.

Thanks for the link, Sam, that's excellent and it looks as though they will do a local delivery on these items. Now, I just need to find out what fittings my old tubes are. :)

I currently have three strip lights in my garage/workshop with another one to fit at a future date. Despite this, I've been puzzled as to why everyone else's workshop looks so much brighter than mine... Now I know; I need daylight tubes!! :D
