Hi. Just joined a the forum and I'm a complete novice woodworker so please go easy..
I plan to build a wood store with some left over 45x45mm pressure treated timber. I plan to use flanged hex screws to put the frame together. The problem is I'm not sure on screw sizes. Joining two pieces of 45mm timber means 100mm screws are too long. Is the 75mm option long enough? What's the ideal size?
Also, I plan to buy a compound mitre saw that will need to cope with 145x45mm timber for another project. Any recommendations? I don't really want to spend much more than £350 nor do I want to waste money at the bottom end of the market.
Thanks in advance.
