Wood carving chisels

Just noticed that Lidl are doing a set of 12 wood carving chisels for £19.99. I know these are not for use on a lathe but may be of use for other tasks. They are chrome Vanadium and have German ash handles.

Anyone think they are worth getting just for odd jobs?

Also wood glue 455ml for £2.99 and diamond sharpener for £1.99

If it's the the round diamond one that looks like a pen, then get one one. They are surprisingly useful.

The carving chisels may be good but don't bother buying the wood glue from Lidl...

I use D3 PVA as end-seal for logs it's so cheap.

The Everbuild D4 glue from Toolstation is very good for use as exterior glue.

i use that everbuild d4. Seems as cheep as anything out there and is good stuff. I dont really like the bottle though, so decant it off into an old 8oz titebond bottle. A "glue bot" is said to be a good investment- i am yet to get one.
