Wixey WR510 and Triton Thicknesser

Hi,

Has anyone fitted a Wixey WR510 digital readout to a Triton TPT125 thicknesser? I'm considering it but can foresee problems due to the moulding that may mean some alterations on this thicknesser (its not listed as a been done before on the wixey/dro sites).

I've already got the manual but there are not enough dimensions to help, I asked Allandale but they only know about the ones listed by Wixey. Next move will be to ask for dimensions. The problem I foresee is the cover molding thins down where the dro would fit and so is not flat also there is zero clearance between the cover moulding and planer carriage so screws are not an option.

In that case it is possibly not suitable, have you looked at the other read out devise's they offer, I have ordered the 550 to fit my planer thicknesser.

The nice thing about the 550 is the sensor or the long slide arm can be attached to the planer table, so it is not position sensitive, added bonus is that it has a remote readout, so can be positioned where you want: http://www.wixey.com/remote-planer/owne ... /wr550.pdf
