Spent an hour winterising the workshop this morning, wrapped some stuff up with bubble wrap, brought rubber belts indoors and sprayed iron table tops with a preservative, wiped oil on the planer blades, and they are still sharp I found out.

Then came indoors out of the cold wind and painted the seascape on the computer using Painter X5 (available if interested 30 day trial).

Those blades have now done three seasons and they plane good enough for me.

(they were the resharpenable type from SIP)
