I am going to make some casement windows soon and would prefer to cut the butt hinges into the jambs before assembling the frames.
Does anybody know of a good set up / shop bought router jig for this.
The door jigs seem to be too long and I have different height windows to contend with so ideally it has to be adjustable.

Cut a rectangular slot into the edge of a scrap of mdf/ply and use a collar on your router.
I did lots this way, a corner chisel works well to square up the corners.

Yep make your own.

If you can't be bothered cutting a slot like Pete said, and can't even be bothered measuring.... I tend to grab three pieces of 6mm MDF and enclose the hinge as needed. Glue and pin these down to another larger bit of 6 mm, flip over, bearing rout out and hey-presto perfect jig with no measuring required. The gaps between the intial bits of MDF don't need to be tight at all, just less than half a router bearing-worth.

Add a fourth piece of MDF in the intial stage for lock and mortice jigs etc

This is way easier to do than it is to explain :)
