Just looking at buying a planer thicknesser by Whitehead. Have any of you heard of this make and is it any good?
 
Usually mentioned along with other good solid British engineering - wadkin, startrite, multico etc. So I've always assumed it's decent stuff. If Scrit was still around he'd give you all the details you could need.

I am pretty sure Mr Brad Naylor has one so maybe a PM to him may help

I think they are generally well regarded but likely to be quite old.

well that's a new one on me , whiteheads used to be a torpedo works and general engineering company here in Weymouth during the war , never knew they made planers . mind you quite possible a totally different company, i expect someone will know for sure .hc
