Which glue sands best?

Hi All

I looking for some advise on which glue sands best - for instance if I cut my own veneers and then egde join them I then put them through my drum sander to level but am having trouble with the glue clogging the paper.

I believe the answer is traditional hot hide glue; I've only used the easy version (Titebond Liquid Hide Glue) which comes ready made in a bottle and in my experience its sandability is one of its strong points. Also ideal for veneering as it can be reversed by heating if needed.
