does anyone know a good ebony supplier in Ipswich / Suffolk / East Anglia?

or;

could anyone suggest a website to buy Ebony, I need at least 500mm long lengths, and a profile size of 38 x 38mm

thanks for the responses, I've tried a few of these, the others the sizes aren't quite right. Timberline might be worth while though. Thanks for the help.

You could try ebay or do a search for Luthier supplies. Ebony is popular for bridges/ finger boards etc.

Hi

African Blackwood can, as it's name suggests, be totally black and is often used as and referred to, (incorrectly), as Ebony. It may be worth enquiring as to the availability of these species of wood if it is not essential to have ebony.
