hi all,
ive been trying to do box joints again on my router table, but im never successful, i thought surely they would be easier to do on the tablesaw, mind you i dont have a dado set, only my general purpose blade.
i was just wondering if anyone else has any neat ideas about cutting these joints right especially on a tablesaw.
thanks

I use the table saw for box joints but you need a jig. I made the one on www.Woodgears.ca by Matthias Wandel. If you see his web page you can see it in action, or look at my thread on making my first box where I used it (my-first-box-t66320.html). The best thing about it is that it is totally adjustable once you have made the gears that will move at the width of your table saw blade as I have, and all 4 sides can be cut at once.
The jig took a couple of days to make, but once you have it, box joints are simple.
