I've been making these figures for people and carving the lines in with a Dremel with the sander attachment. There must be something more accurate that I could be using but I have no idea. The figure is 5.5 inches high. Any suggestions? I'm new to tools!

Oh those look cool! I'm not sure which is the U tool and V tool though.

I'm using poplar for these.

Might be worth a look at the Ashley Isles website, and even more worth getting them to post you a copy of their catalogue. They make carving tools, including blockcutter's tools, which would be ideal for what you're doing. They have a rather old-fashioned marketing approach, but a refreshingly old-fashioned attitude to quality of product and looking after their customers. They will regrind any of their edge tools for free if you post them back to the factory for your lifetime - seriously good service.

I assume all your customers are ladies, TBH I don't think they really need the carving, hee hee
