Hiya, I hope someone can help. I'm thinking of doing a wet sand finish on an oak washstand and was just wondering if it would be possible to use Ronseal Refined Danish Oil in Jacobean dark oak? The main sites that I have seen while looking into this tend to be American and they use Watco Dainish oil so not sure if it is somehow different.
Thanks in advance x

Hello and welcome. Someone will be along that knows a lot more than I do on finishes.
The bit I did find on U tube, used lemon oil, just put you're title, above and see what you think.

Whilst all Danish oils are essentially made of the same components, the proportions vary a bit from brand to brand. The primary ingredients are white spirits, linseed oil and/or tung oil, and a resin, frequently with small proportions of a few other components, all depending on the brand.

You should have no problems replicating the wet sanding technique you're researched using the Ronseal brand, but the best thing to do would be do a small trial on a sacrificial sample. That way, in the very unlikely circumstance that it all goes horribly wrong, you won't have the problem on the piece you're working on. Slainte.
