watertight garden seat

I would appreciate some advice please. I'm planning to make a garden seat, with a box underneath the bench to hold cushions. Has anyone made something similar and/or could you advise on how best to keep the rain out? ie how to make the box watertight?

Yes..................................keep it indoors.

You will struggle to keep dampness out even though you may keep rain out
