Can I extend this thread by enquiring about recommendations for superior aftermarket blades (& suppliers) for records.

Bizarrely, I've never heard anyone claim MUCH difference between the various after market blades.

As such, buy the cheapest, Either Samurai (sometimes they stock "smoothcut", just as good) from Axminster, or Ray Iles blades from Classic Hand tools. The latter are D2 steel, which may raise issues about sharpneing systems.
