I've made some great savings on all sorts of stuff over the years; always dollar for pound prices at the worst - i.e. if it sells for £100 here it will be $100 in the US, generally things will be much better. The exchange rate is good for you at the moment so happy days!
Unsurprisingly US made stuff is generally the best bargain e.g. Flexcut carving tools, Spyderco and Arkansas stones can be hard for bargain prices compared to here; I recently bought a Spyderco stone that sells for ~£80 here for $55. Don't forget to add the sales tax, but it'll still turn out cheaper.
