Hello,
I've just checked out the video section and there is one there, under miscellaneous 'checking for square' - posted by Steve Maskery, which is good. The theorem behind it is 'Thales Theorem'. Check it out in Wikipedia. Good old Mr Truscott (my old maths teacher) strikes again! Only reason I'm any good at maths is that Mr Truscott used to tell us stories of his experiences as a bomber pilot in WW2 but only if we finished the work first.

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for that and I'm glad you like it.

Since making that back in October (the film, that is - I've had the gadget for years) I've learned a bit about Mr Thales. First known philosopher etc. The coners of a triangle always make 360deg and all that. Indeed, that last point is the maths behind the working of it.

We did modern maths at school, and I don't think that Thales raised his head above the parapet there, but I'm glad he did at your school!

Cheers
Steve
