Well the Jap chap at Cressing Temple had rounded bevels on all his chisels the other day.
I hope somebody pointed out to him the error of his ways!

There's always exceptions.

At a Kezurou Kai (Japanese planing contest) reported on Woodcentral several of the Japanese competitors were using sharpening jigs.

I can't work out which side of the argument that observation reinforces?

Statistics can lie, but an absence of them really can help give a false impression. Got some numbers?

My Kell II grips them on the sides.

What does Mr Grim look like - must see if I can pick him out from Wizer's videos of the CT Show??

I wasn't actually there but I saw some snaps from Brian (modernist).
The spooky thing is that I watched those videos - and I kept seeing myself wandering about! Not just similar but dead spit! Once I scooted across just behind Brian.
I've reached the age where we all look the same - bald, grey hair, beard, glasses. Probably a checked shirt. Some of us are slightly different, some indistinguishable. Identical twins. Could do a wife swap and they wouldn't know.
