Good evening,

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between the various TS55 saws. There's:
TS 55 EBQ-Plus-FS GB
TS 55 EBQ-Plus GB
TS 55 Q-Plus-FS GB
TS 55 EQ-Plus GB and finally
TS 55 Q-Plus GB

I've even looked on the Festool site, but it doesn't mention explicitly what the difference is even though the price varies from £291 to £406, does anyone have any idea?

Many thanks,

Colin

Can't help much but I was in my local dealers looking at the saw and rail last week. I know the owner fairly well and remember him saying the EB is electronic brake and is a newer better model than those without it.

Not decided yet if I feel like spending that much though. Not sure but think it was £359 with rail (bag maybe) and free quick clamps.

EBQ comes with electronic control.

Plus means it comes in a Systainer box.

FS means it comes with a guide rail 1400/2

Does that help?

Q has no electronics (no variable speed etc)

GB - comes with a 13amp plug (???this a guess on my part)

EQ - no braking (guess on my part) . Also only one listed in my Festool catalogue says EQ - Plus - 110v

Why not ring Festool UK 01284760791 or 727270 (tech)

Good afternoon,
Sorry for delay answering - been away for few days.

Many thanks for the info, it helps to make it clearer!

Regards,

Colin
