I just came across this turned rake description:

The rake has been finished by having the oil infused into the wood through a vacuum chamber. I'd never heard of this but a bit of googl'ing shows it is quite common. With a only a couple of vacuum infusion topics on UKW I thought I'd post it in case any other newbies like me haven't seen this before.
