hi while using my saw i noticed blade had side movement so i investigated to find the bearing have side movement,
is this right .
next where would i get replacements from.
cheers pip

I have used these people several times. simplybearings.co.uk Very quick delivery, got my Grandsons skate board back on track in no time. Just send the number off your old bearing or take the dimensions from it and find it in their lists.

Alan.

Have you checked if it is the bearings themselves or have the bearing fixings/clamping plates whatever come adrift.

For a bearing itself to have side play some thing very drastic with the balls/race would have had to happen and I would have expected it to sound like a bag of rocks before you detected any side movement.

the blade has side movement so striped it down to check parts was hoping it would be some thing loose but it is the bearings put abour in hardwood jaws in vice and you can move the bearings on there own. no noise just movement .
i bought the saw second hand about a year ago but never checked the blade and have not noticed any problem with it until now
but was a bit worried about using it as it is that is why i striped it.
anyway i have found some bearings from" bearing king" they are *** £2.90 +and £2.95 postage.
cheers for replys
i guess by your reply there should be no movement.
pip
