Training day with Benoit Averly

I spent the day with Benoit Averly yesterday - he was over demoing at our seminar on Saturday, and some of us then spent Sunday with him on a masterclass.

Anyhow - we spent the whole day using the skew making his signature boxes, well the things i didn't know you could use a skew for !!!!

I'm now very very confident with it, and it will be the first and main tool i'll be using from now on.

( oh and a hour spent on back hollowing method with spindle gouges - Raffan better watch out ! )

(yes the date is still wrong on my camera !! )

Ill post some close ups of my boxes when i get a chance.

It's great to come away having learnd something.
I must be a hopless case all I ever learn is how to spend money.

Hi boysie,

The master class was limited to 5, but it felt like a 1 to 1 !

The seminar on saturday was great - we got over 50 turning up ( and some non iwg members ) , and 52 competition pieces !!!! - Was a great day.

Busy weekend though !!!!!
