Happy new to you all. I have a friend who is about to buy a Tritan TPT125 planer/thicknesser, but before he does he would like a bit of a review from anyone who has, or has had, one please?

I have just bought one, but have very little experience with thicknessers, so take it for what its worth :)

- Very Heavy!
- Despite being made of a lot of plastic, it's structurally sound and very rigid
- Not as loud as I thought it would be. Based on videos of the Dewalt "Screamer", it's a lot quieter
- The few cuts I have done on softwood(Pine) have come out beautiful.
- There is definately snipe on the first few inches and last few inches. I have tried to minimize it using some of the techniques I saw online, and have found the best way is to feed the board at a slight angle, at least for short boards.

Mine arrived with a few of the kick back fingers bent and stuck in place. As it would be too much of a pain to send it back, I have kind of just lived with it.

I've got one, and I'm really pleased with it. Probably about 30mm of snipe on the boards, but an excellent finish otherwise. Height adjustment is easy and holds true during use.
