Hi to everybody!

I'm Gabriele, from Italy. This is my first post, but I follow your topics from a while!

I have a question that google was unable to respond. (hammer)
On the next week I will be in London for a trip with my girlfriend. Could you suggest me a good tool shop to visit, possibly not too far from the London's center?

I found only this tool shop, D&M at 73-81 Heath Road, Twickenham, Middlesex.
It seems to be a nice tool shop, but it's quite far from the London center. :(
In particular I'm looking for some saw's screw for restoring two vintage saw that I bought last month. I didn't see them into the D&M's site. :|

Any suggestions? :ho2

Hi Gabrielle, Try Buck and Ryan, Southhampton Row,Holborn.Smack in the middle of London and suppliers of of a huge range of tools, see their website!
I hope this helps and enjoy your visit, spend lots of euros, we need the exports!

regards

Paul

Hi Gabrielle and welcome to the forum.

It is a long time since I went to Buck and Ryan but the last time I went there I wasn't that impressed as all they seemed to stock was a lot of Chaiwanese stuff. Not quite tool emporium that they used to be when they were up Tottenham Court Road.

Having said that I am afraid that I can't think of anywhere else. If you make a few more posts then you will be able to post some photos and maybe we'd be in a better place to help you.

This company might have what you are looking for

Hi Gabriele
Sadly many good tool shops have closed - these could be worth trying:
C W Tyzack - Kingsland road - tyzacktools.com
Thomas Bros. 798 Holloway road - thomas4tools.co.uk
A Gatto&Sons 206 Garrat Lane - gattotools.co.uk
Belton & Slade 84 Wandsworth high st
Could you order the screws from Flinn-Garlick
Good luck
Matt

I don't know how long you are staying but look at Axminster Tools, Workshop Heaven and Classic Hand Tools online?
They maybe able to deliver your goods to your hotel etc in time for your stay.
They all have excellent, quick delivery reputations.

Oh and welcome!

Rod

Hi Gabriele,
Welcome to the forum.

I cannot help with tool shops - but I can help with marraige advice - If you plan to visit all these shops, your good lady probably will not need a return ticket!
