Hello, I found your site by chance, looking for a non-existent Tilgear website! So pleasantly surprized, I bought a programme - I joined.
Anyway, my query, I have to make up some shelves to fit into a proprietary set of lounge furniture. Problem is the timber I need is 'poplar' or 'tulipwood', not the real m'coy but the commercially used timber that uses this collective name. I need about 2 or 3 cu. ft. in old money, planked at 1".
Does anybody know of a good source of this timber in the South East, Sussex, Kent or Surrey? All my regular suppliers have drawn a blank or have not a clue what I am talking about. I used to use some of the timberyards in East London, but sadly now they have all moved.
