I like these. I think I first saw Nick Arnull doing this sort of thing - pretty much limitless opportunities.

Another nice bowl but the only thing I personally would have done is the bit where you used a parting chisel to give a dividing line near the bowl I would have done that right at the end so to give a clean look to it and make it stand out from the painted area

I had several thoughts about the line....I was intending to cut back to it but decided not to....can't remember why now...!

Great bowl Stew, I agree with Derek about the line - but you're still eons beyond me when it comes to colour!
