Wonderful story.

Almost as good as this one, shared by a casualty officer we knew years ago:

The fire brigade were called to a flat because neighbours heard a woman screaming for help.
Breaking the front door down, they found her stark naked, tied to the bed,
"Help my husband, he's in the wardrobe."
Sure enough, they could hear faint moaning noises coming from inside.

When they got the man to hospital, x-rays showed he had broken both ankles. The wardrobe top had collapsed...

He clearly did not build the wardrobe himself (from the kit) otherwise he would have known not to climb on top of it... :)

Personally I think Ikea can be very good value for money and have a kitchen, several chests of drawers and many bookcases from them.
