T Track

What size T track is the best to get for router tables.Im also confused by how the sizing works. 1/4" ,1/2" and 3/4",is this the size of the channel width inside the slot or the opening at the top ?Im considering buying this,is the 1 7/16" route out to fit the track correct?

The Americans seem to have standardised on 3/4" so if you are going to use an Incra system say, then go for that.
Sadly most of my UK stuff has all differing slot widths which is a real pain!!

The dimension is the inside bottom of the T width. To flush mount the Rutlands track you need to route out a width of 1 7/16" by 1/2" in depth.

Ax do the one I used Bob, they do a complete kit with fastenings for fences etc as well.
