Hi Steve
Yes, as you say, fantastic.

A couple of years ago I went to see ommy Emmanuelle in concert in Derby. His guitar was miked up to hilt, each one picking up different frequencies and then being mega-processed, but the result was amazing.

He played one piece which, I think, was called Forest or Jungle or somesuch, and it was just animal sounds with rhythm. Absolutely amazing.

Thanks for the link, most enjoyable.
Cheers
Steve

Steve, If you'd like some Andy Mckee copied, I have quite a bit... just give's a shout mate !

If you like him... grab a dose of LEO KOTTKE.
Immense ! ( have some of his stuff I could copy also if you like.

or a bit of Antoine Dufour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGemE401r-M

I agree Tommy Emanuelle is good.. but go past Classical Gas, and he's not the top of the tree.... thats his best, and the other stuff doesn't touch it.

Andy's great though !

And for Steve M ... here you go

I'm a little out of touch these days to be honest. I miss most of what goes on in the guitar playing world!

Well that explains it. I was 7.

There was a brief period during the late 90s/early 00s where I had a vague idea what was going on in the music world though...

Looking forward to a listen through those later - I'm a big fan of the Andy McKee / Eric Roche style player. I've been meaning to get hold of some of their back catalogues actually, but never get around to it.

Fascinating sound and style. Reminds me a bit of Gordon Giltrap

When I first started playing I used to spend a few hours every month trying to learn his stuff from his Total Guitar column. I gave up most months!

Back on the 'acoustic' groove ....

try this for something a little 'ethereal'
Not everyones cup of earl grey perhaps... and I'm not normally a huge fan of the genre, but this guy can knock a reasonable tune out of a tricky instrument.

Try and see ....

I always liked the second tune, "Little martha' when the Allman Brothers did it :D :D
