Love the patterns Graham ,a bit too intricate for me just yet . The last one might just be within my range . Will have a go if you dont mind .Thanks for showing .

they look really nice well done ! like the dragons and they are very popular , just shows that nice work can be done on other than a hegner ! I had a decoflex before my hegner but couldn't get on with the blade changing found it too fiddly but apart from that was a good machine how you findiing the blade changing ? as you doing a lot of inside cuts curious has to how you get on with it as for the money it could be a good budget machine for people on here as a common question is whats the best budget machine as cant afford a hegner so any feedback would be good

thanks mac l seem to have no trouble changing the blades some times it gets hard when doing longer pieces trying to get the blade in to the wood,
as a novice scroller the only advice l can give to any one is take baby steps into the work you are doing or would like to do, get to know your machine and the way it works also you may brake blades but that is one way to learn {you wont do that again} learn how to feed your work too hard too soft get to know there is only you can decide what is best for you.
a good site to learn tips and tricks is Steve Good`s website {l have spent a lot of hours there,
the decoflex is a good saw a few teething problems to start with soon sorted them out bolt it down!
above all take your time its not a race you may see u-tube video `s of people flying though there work pieces remember they have been doing it for years,
l hope this helps a few people out remember practice practice and practice we all have to learn some times.
how l rate the decoflex a good saw to start start off with, mine was £140-00

thanks Graham

good morning
try any 6mm ply that your pattern will fit on plus slow your speed down if you can, take your time

thanks Graham

ok thanks what I meant too is when you just undoing top clamp and feeding through work is the top clamp difficuclt to get blade back in I f I remember it was a tiny allen grub screw as you doing lots of internal cuts just wondered if it a faff to keep clamping back into top blade clamp

Hi Graham,
I got myself a nice Hegner recently but it's single speed, so I can't slow it down. I keep the speed on my Jet saw to around 1200, which is where I feel comfortable. The Hegner feels too fast (for me) at 1450, but hopefully I will get used to it.
Martin.

re allen grub screw
on mine there is no allen grub screw as l had mine changed so l could put pin-less blades in top part, the bottom one is where the allen grub screw is hope that makes sense.

thanks Graham

If you don't get used to the Hegner let me know! if you decided to sell it, where abouts in Yorkshire are you l am in Huddersfield

love the dragon, i find them quite nice and people do like them, if you can incorporate them into other items you could sell loads, now the hegner dont seem so far away eh!..

This is one i cut for a friend some back, its only a practise piece in mdf then cut in solid oak..

I never used pinned blades on it but it was still a grub screw on top clamp there was a jig on top of saw where you slotted clamps in to attach the blade in each clamp

what did you change it to ?? would be interested in seeing your top clamp set up as I said before when you doing internal work you are repeatedly undoing top clamp and re- clamping so would be good to see your quicker system any chance of a picture ?
