I have a couple of Elu routers.

I use a MOF177 in my woodrat but the plunge lock lever has become really stiff. I need a whole hand to get it to unlock and I worry about the strain I am putting on the woodrat baseplate.

As I understand it the lever bears on a brass bush that locks against the turret leg.

I must admit I have not had a close look at it yet so am writing this in lazy mode hoping someone will know the cure and save me having to strip it out to find it myself.

So

Has anyone remedied this issue before?

By the way the Elu is the same as a Dewalt DW625.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Mick
You just need a bit of regular maintenance :)
It's almost certainly just gummed up with crud. Dismantle it, give it a good scrub, lubricate it and it will be as good as new.
I've just had my 1777e stolen and it is a source of some grief; it was the best 1/2" router, short of my Fessy, that I had, and I had a few.
It is well worth looking after, very high quality machines, and the also rans are not in the same league, even though they are the same design.
