Hi folks , i am looking at buying a Sorby steb centre to go in my supernova chuck , although it is getting confusing as toolpost advertise steb centres to fit Supernova chuck ( yes i know , self explanatory) but would it fit in any other type of chuck if i decide to have a change . Please educate me , thanks Tony

Hi Robbo , i have just had a look & wondered if there is any advantage /disadvantage between the MT2 & the straight dead centre , thanks Tony

Not really. It's whatever suits you or your lathe. Some lathes don't have a morse taper.
Forgot to say that carriage is free from Chronos.

If you intend to leave your chuck on permanently, get the straight sided one - if you want to just stick the thing in a chuck once in a while get the tapered one, assuming of course you have a taper in the headstock.
