I have just acquired an ML8 and am interested in obtaining a steady rest
for it. I have seen plans to build them, but I don't have any routers.
Anyone know if there is a steady rest that will fit an ML8 with its tubular bed?
Thanks

Check around for more steady designs Kenny... there's a few around that don't need a router to construct them...

Have you seen Laymar Crafts site here in the UK? (Google for it if you haven't)

btw cheap wheels from kiddies' in line skates make good bearing surfaces... if they're used just clean them up on the lathe with a little abrasive...
