ML8 Question

When I collected my ML8 it was set up with the bed out the left side.

Is it possible the owner had decided to use the inboard or RH as the outbored as it's easier to get RH chucks?
Do any others do this?
Or am I missing something?

Doesn't really matter as I have a multistar chuck that fits both sides, hadn't found the LH one when I posted.
And if you reverse the motors polarity all's fine for a mirror image set up
