A local chap is selling a Startrite 352 machine and he wants £100 for it. Just wondered whether this is a good machine?

Thanks

Thanks Rod.

I must add that it is 20 years old, but I suppose most parts that wear can be replaced if need be without huge expense?

Have a look on auction sites..... not ebay..... I paid £200 for a 3 year old 352sb.

Do you have a link as I only know of ebay and stuff goes for so much money. £200 for a 3 yr old sb is a great deal, considering they are £1100 new

PLaces like bidspotter, which is just a main link to all the auction houses.

Yes it's you  , try .co.uk there are about 40 uk auctions on it at present (2 have woodwork related items)

Silly me .... I just googled it when I saw your first mention of this site and ended up on the North American one. Many thanks.

I got a really old Startrite recently - it's 40 years old and it's definitely worth it! They are superbly built and probably the old ones more so than maybe the newest. I've not seen the new ones though.
